The series name "Namishibuki" means wave splash in English. This mystical black damascus blade reminds you of "Namishibuki" which is like rough seas that waves beating the shore or falls that the water flow powerfully. By special technique for surface treatment, it accentuates beautiful damascus pattern and it brings about more real presence.
The blade is 101 layers damascus w/ high speed powder steel core, HRC:61±0.5. This high speed powder steel is that abrasion resistance, toughness resistance, sharpness, and hardness are extremely outstanding. The sharpness will be far beyond your imagination. This kitchen knife makes people say that this kitchen knife is one of the best sharpness which they have ever used. We realized outstanding sharpness because of sophisticated technique backed by an abundant of experience and knowledge accumulated over many years.

The classy octagonal handle “八角柄 Hackaku-e” polished fascinatingly elegant. The handle end is engraved Kanetsune Seki brand logo mark "Kumadori". The handles are made of black plywood w/red micarta rings.
【KC-810s Namishibuki w/Wooden Saya Series】
This KC-810s series comes with special Saya cover (sheath) finished by the technique used for Saya of Japanese swords(Katana). The pattern called “Kuro-Ishime” in Japanese.
And these are stored in a classy wooden box which presents a Japanese tradition.
